In 1992 she worked as a stage set designer with David Riondino’s theatre company and with the musician Francesca Breschi.

In 1999 at the opening of her exhibition of ritrattos, Fitness delle emozioni, in Genova, Ottavia Fusco recited a text written by Daniele Del Giudice, with music and direction by Andrea Liberovici.

In 2002 she exhibited 45 paintings in Ancona, at the Mole Vanvitelliana on the theme of prayer, at the opening a joint lecture was given by the theologian Bruno Forte and the writer Daniele Del Giudice.

In 2003, at a soiree at the Strehler Theatre in Milano, that featured a reading by Hanif Kureishi and Elisabetta Sgarbi’s film: When the night begins, Serena Nono projected a series of paintings that illustrate the play When the night begins.

In 2003, together with Hanif Kureishi, she presented an installation with paintings and words, at the Italian Institute of Culture in London, based on his short story Nightlight.

In 2004, The theologian Bruno Forte and the philosopher Vincenzo Vitiello explored the theme of prayer , observing 15 paintings by Serena Nono. They presented the work at the opening of the exhibit at the museum of Santa Chiara, Naples, and wrote essays in the catalogue.

In 2005, another version of Nightlight, with Hanif Kureishi, is exhibited at the Galleria Traghetto, Venezia. Also in 2005 an exhibit of the Oranti figures takes place in Florence, at the Biblioteca Centrale, along with the presentation of the book by the italian philosopher Vincenzo Vitiello.”Dire Dio in segreto”.

In 2006 she has an exhibit with Marco Nereo Rotelli at the Giardini della Minerva, in Salerno.The exhibit is introduced by the artists and the professors Massimo Adinolfi, Giuseppe Cantillo, Pina De Luca, Massimo Donà, Gabriele Guerra e Vincenzo Vitello with a round table on the theme Art and Philosophy.

From April to july 2007 she works on a video in a home for homeless people, S.Alvise, Venezia. The film “OSPITI” (Guests) is presented at the Venice Film Meeting, in September 2007.

April 2008 Exhibition on San Servolo island, Venice, with Daniele Bianchi,  and with the band Ska-J, presenting  painted lp covers. Text in the catalogue by Tiziano Scarpa. Concept by Marco furio Forieri.

July 2008: Participates at La Milanesiana with Hanif Kureishi, with illustrations for the novel “Something to tell you”

September 2009 Presents the film VIA DELLA CROCE at the 66 Venice Biennale film festival, in the section Orizzonti. * link to photogallery and to website www.viadellacroce.org

November 2009 Presents the film VIA DELLA CROCE at the Sulmonacinema Film Festival. It receives two prizes: for best male cast and a special mention for the film. link to youtube

September 2013 The new film VENEZIA SALVA is at the 10° Giornate degli Autori, Venice. At the Festival she presents the film with a live performance with Giancarlo Gaeta, David Riondino and the film’s cast.

May 2015 She makes a short film collaborating with Hanif Kureishi on one of his short stories. The film is called THE LAST TIME. The film is presented in Venice for: Waterlines – Residenze letterarie e artistiche a Venezia. A Collegio Internazionale Ca’ Foscari’s project.

December 2015 The film VENEZIA SALVA is released with a book with a new translation of the play by Domenico Canciani and Maria Antonietta Vito, published by Castelvecchi editori.
