Via della Croce (The Way of the Cross) is a film made in 2009 with the guests of the St. Alvise House for the Homeless in Venice. The film tells the story of Christ’s journey toward death on the cross. The Passion of Christ is represented by tableaux vivants, which illustrate the Stations of the Cross, it is set in Venice.
The themes of judgement, humiliation, poverty, charity, brotherhood, abandonment, death and resurrection are explored through the voices of those to whom our society hardly ever lends an ear. Via della Croce was selected for the section Orizzonti of the 66 Venice Biennale film festival  and has won two prizes at the Sulmona Cinema Film Festival (best male cast and a special mention for the film). Shot, directed and edited by Serena Nono.
